A little over a week and a half ago, I got to meet my niece.
Zelda Rose Ormanovich, born November 7th 2015, 8lbs 13oz.
She is the sweetest little baby I’ve ever met. Actually, the only baby I’ve ever met. I was always the youngest growing up, so I was never around kids much. I don’t know the first thing when it comes to children.
However, because of that, I am all the more excited to be an aunt to the sweet little one.
My sister is beyond elated to be a mom, and her and my brother-in-law are over the moon in love with this little gal. My half-niece, her husband’s daughter from a previous marriage, is 6 years old, and so excited to be a big sister. She could barely keep her hands off of Zelda in some way shape or form in the hospital when we all went to see her. She stroked her head and held her hand, and was smiling the whole time.
My brother and his fiancee are planning to get married in February, and plan to start trying for kids soon after their wedding, so we’ve got more little rascals coming along, too.
It’s exciting watching my family grow, and watching this next generation grow up.
Zelda, I am so thankful for your existence, and I am so thankful I get to watch you grow up, and be an aunt to you (and fellow scorpio!) and I really hope I get to teach you so many things about life and about yourself.
